Curve - Philosophy

Curve
Nadia Murtaza

The world is a mean place and it takes most of us our whole lives to accept the fact that we are not even a splinter in a universe of wood. Wood can be carved, polished and made to be something that it isn't...a lot like people. Every once In a while you find an un touched tree...perfect, real and beautiful through flaws. That's what happens when you find the person you love, they are your tree amoung a world of varnished wood flooring.

Life hits you with un expected curve balls that might slow you down - but only to make you faster in the end. If you don't know what I mean, let me elaborate. When you think you have your mundane life sorted out - enough food and money to survive, wait a second and ponder, is this what I was born to do? To settle? Do I really want my whole life just to be the bare minimum? No. The Curve ball, is passion, that aching in your stomach and pounding in your brain that says "challenge yourself", challenges are what makes life exciting, makes it worth living. The challenge can be your goal in career, the message you want to give to the world, the motivation to care for someone or to find your one truest love and make that sensation last your whole life. Play the curve balls to your advantage, don't ignore just to make your life simple or easier, because guess what, when you ignore what it is that matters to your soul and spirit; something will always feel like it's missing, you will always feel incomplete. So no matter what anybody tells you, no matter how hard you have to run - take those curves, hit them and make a home run and when the day comes that you pass, you can at least tell yourself "I loved in my life".

Everyday, millions of people die. Everyday, millions of people are born. Everyday, you wake up with a thought and don't act on it. We are inferior. Learning about the pain of other pain is the only real form of education we have, through angst, war, politics and love. How would we ever know pain if we don't know pleasure. How do we know love if we don't know hate. How do we know good, when we don't know bad. Life is questions and unless you find the answers to your own dreams, your wasting everyday that you open your eyes, your dream is your destiny - fulfill it
